Breastfeeding Support
WIC offers a Peer Counseling Program for expectant and breastfeeding mothers. The Peer Counseling Program provides a wide range of support, assistance and education on topics such as identifying good milk supply, nutrition facts, positioning and returning to work. This Peer Support is provided by experienced breastfeeding moms who've also been on WIC. WIC has electric and manual breast pumps available for special needs. The OCO WIC Program has two Internationally Board Certified Lactation Consultants (IBCLC) available to assist mothers or other healthcare providers with breastfeeding questions or concerns.
