OCO Chemical Dependence Programs

 

The Chemical Dependence Program is a residential program consisting of the Arbor House Community Residence and the Supportive Living Program.  It is certified by the New York State Office of Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Services.  The Program strives to provide a supervised, safe and substance-free environment for individuals recovering from the effects of a substance dependence or abuse condition.  Individuals enrolled in the program receive chemical dependence treatment services at the community-based outpatient treatment agencies.  Residents are also introduced to local support groups and other available community resources.

 

 

The Arbor House

 

Established in 1987, The Arbor House is a sixteen-bed Community Residence for individuals in recovery from a Chemical Dependence. 

 

 

The Arbor House offers twenty-four hour / seven day per week supervision for sixteen adults in a warm and inviting home-like environment.  The Arbor House is located in the beautiful countryside of western Oswego County a few miles west of the City of Oswego.

 

 

The Arbor House is a non - smoking facility and is licensed by OASAS, the New York State Office of Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Services.

• The assessment must include a diagnosis of substance use
• The applicant must be considered homeless or currently be living in an environment that is not conducive to recovery
• Any applicant considered cannot have an active communicable disease. 

 

 

 

Chemical Dependence Supportive Living Program

Established in 1993, the OCO Chemical Dependence Supportive Living Program provides support, assistance, and guidance for up to 10 individuals who have proven they are able to maintain their abstinence in an environment that does not provide 24 hour / 7 days per week staffing.  Residents live in five two bedroom apartments located in a large apartment complex on the east side of the City of Oswego.

 

 

The Chemical Dependence Apartments are non – smoking and licensed by OASAS, the New York State Office of Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Services.
