Application Days Continue for Head Start’s Fall Enrollment

Oswego County Head Start/Pre-K program is pleased to announce a second opportunity to complete an application to determine eligibility for the school year 2018-2019. Families may apply for enrollment by attending “Application Day” being held in May. “Application Days” are scheduled at various locations throughout the county. For dates, times and locations, families may call the program’s main number, 315-598-4711, for more information.

Head Start pre-K enrolls 3 and 4 year old children and is provided at no cost to families that meet the federal income guidelines. The program offers half-day and ful- day sessions.

When coming to a site to complete an application, families must bring documentation which includes evidence of child’sbirth (birth certificate/insurance card), proof of 2017 income, copy of the child’s immunization record and any court papers regarding custody.

Head Start is the longest running national school readiness program in the United States.

OCO is a private, non-profit agency that has been supporting communities throughout Oswego County since 1966. A member agency of the United Way of Greater Oswego County, OCO provides more than 50 vital services throughout 100 separate locations.
