Catholic Charities participates in OCO’s ‘Walk the Bottom Line’ This Saturday

Carolyn Handville, coordinator of Oswego County Opportunities Cancer Services program, welcomes Catholic Charities of Oswego County as a participant in OCO’s “Walk the Bottom Line” to be held June 3 from 12:00 Noon to 3:00 P.M. at Bullhead Point in Fulton. Catholic Charities Thrift Store, 808 West Broadway in Fulton, received a large donation of brand new summer clothing and will make it available, free of charge, for those attending the Walk the Bottom Line event. Walk the Bottom Line is a family friendly event to raise awareness of colon cancer.

Walk the Bottom Line begins with a 1.7 mile walk along the Lake Neatahwanta Nature Trail at 12:45 p.m. followed by a free Yoga demonstration from Rebecca Lloyd of Healing Arts Studio and North Coast Yoga and a free Zumba demonstration from Noelle Salmonson and Faye Beckwith from Dance 4 Fitness Studio in Hannibal beginning at 1:15 p.m. There will also be a number of organizations and agencies on hand all afternoon with information on the benefits of a healthy lifestyle. OCO Cancer Services will also be scheduling appointments for a number of free cancer screenings. Dr. Dykas spoke about Circles of Security and how it benefits adults in building better parenting skills and providing a secure environment for their children. Mr. Hilts shared personal experience with Circles of Security and the positive impact it has had on his family. The guest speakers were arranged by Jen Woodward.
