Pathfinder Bank “Giving Thanks” for OCO

Pathfinder Bank “Giving Thanks” for OCO

OCO Executive Director Diane Cooper-Currier welcomes Pathfinder Bank as a Silver Level sponsor for the agency’s upcoming “Giving Thanks” fundraiser in support of its “Sleep Tight” initiative. Pictured here from left are Tonya Crisafulli, executive assistant to the president & CEO of Pathfinder Bank; OCO Development Coordinator Margaret Barclay; Vaishali Willis, Pathfinder Bank community relations; and Cooper-Currier.

"Pathfinder Bank is a proud supporter of Oswego County Opportunities. OCO impacts our community in so many positive ways with programs that help thousands of residents per year,” said Executive Vice President, Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer James Dowd.

“Homeless children and families come to OCO with little more than the clothes on their backs, often from desperate living situations with nowhere else to turn,” said Cooper-Currier. “As we help them get back on their feet, a safe, affordable place to live is crucial. But these little ones need more than a roof over their head; they need a clean bed.”

“Unfortunately, thrift stores and second-hand shops rarely have mattresses or bedding in stock, due to the recent and rapid spread of nuisance insects like bed bugs and fleas,” continued Cooper-Currier. “Our ‘Sleep Tight’ seeks to provide funds for staff and client education, the purchase equipment for sanitizing and extermination, and to buy and maintain bedding supplies that are protected from infestation.”

OCO’s “Giving Thanks” fundraiser will be held Wednesday, November 1, from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m., at the Lake Ontario Convention, Event and Conference Center in Oswego. The event will feature a number of food stations offering an assortment of Thanksgiving-inspired delicacies and refreshments from Oswego County’s most popular restaurants including Canale’s Restaurant, Mill House Market, La Parrilla, Blue Moon Grill, The Press Box, Mimi’s Drive-In, and The Eis House. Additional stations will offer choices from Ontario Orchards, CiTi Culinary Arts, Appledale Orchards, Colosse Cheese, and OCO Nutrition Services. Wine and beer and wine samples from Eagle Beverage will pair with the foods featured at each station. Entertainment for the evening will be the provided by world renowned guitarist, songwriter, recording artist, and session musician, Loren Barrigar.

Tickets to OCO’s “Giving Thanks” celebration are $30 per person and include food, refreshments, and beer and wine tastings. For more information or to purchase tickets visit, Buy tickets for Oswego County Opportunities, Inc.
